Abstract

Zavedanje o lokaciji uporabnika oziroma terminala postaja bistveni element za mnoge nove razvijajoče se aplikacije, pozicioniranje pa se šteje za sestavni del sistemske zasnove prihajajočega mobilnega omrežja pete generacije (5G). Glede na zahteve trga je nadgradnja trenutnih tehnologij za natančnejše pozicioniranje zelo potrebna. V zaključnem delu so opisane različne metode pozicioniranja, prednosti in pomanjkljivosti posameznih metod ter razlike med njimi. Naslovljena je tudi problematika zasebnosti in varnosti v mobilnem omrežju 5G in kako je oboje sploh mogoče zagotoviti.

Secondary abstract: Location awareness is becoming an essential element of many emerging markets, and positioning is considered an integral part of the system design of the upcoming fifth generation (5G) mobile network. Given the demands of a growing market, upgrading current technologies for more accurate positioning is very necessary. This work deals with different positioning methods, their advantages and disadvantages and the differences between them. This work also addresses the issue of privacy and security in 5G mobile networks and whether this is a solvable problem.
