Abstract

V empiričnem delu so predstavljeni rezultati raziskave.

Secondary title: Analysis of motor abilities in preschool children from urban and rural areas in the vicinity of Celje
Secondary abstract: The thesis analyzes the motor abilities in preschool children from urban and rural kindergartens in the vicinity of Celje. In the theoretical chapter, we define motor abilities, relevant for energy regulation and movement control, motor efficiency, factors influencing motor development, and the influence of the child's living area on motor development. In the empirical part of the thesis, we present the results of our research. Our study was based on a non-random sample from the specific population, which consisted of 100 children from the second age group, 50 of whom came from two urban kindergartens and 50 from a rural kindergarten. All participants took part in seven motor tests. Urban-rural differences were calculated using the t-test for independent samples. The results show that there are no statistically significant differences in motor tests between children from urban and rural areas. Thus, our research shows that children's motor abilities are developed to a similar extent despite different living areas. In addition, the results reveal that children from rural areas obtain better results in the energetic component of motor efficiency, whereas children from urban areas achieve better results in the information component.
