Abstract

V diplomskem delu so v prvem poglavju obravnavane simetrične grupe in njihove osnovne lastnosti. V drugem poglavju so predstavljene podgrupe simetričnih grup, v naslednjem poglavju pa je poudarek na iskanju maksimalnih podgrup simetričnih grup, posebno primitivnih. Zadnje poglavje da vpogled v konkretne primere maksimalnih podgrup simetričnih grup za n < 6.

Secondary abstract:	In the first chapter of this graduation thesis symmetric groups and their basic properties are presented. In the second chapter we examine subgroups of symmetric groups. The next chapter is focused on the search for maximal subgroups of symmetric groups, especially primitive ones. The last chapter gives us an inside view on concrete cases of maximal subgroups of symmetric group, when n < 6.
