Abstract

V diplomskem delu je predstavljenih šest tematskih sklopov, ki se pojavijo v otrokovem predšolskem obdobju in igrajo pomembno vlogo pri dojemanju in razumevanju sveta okoli njega. To so: smrt, različnost, solidarnost, letni časi, mobilnost in bonton. Izbrane teme za obravnavo so teoretično analizirane. Z metodo analize multimodalnosti pa so analizirane tudi izbrane slikanice za vsak tematski sklop. V teoretičnem delu je predstavljeno, kaj je slikanica, po katerih elementih jo prepoznamo in kako lahko izberemo kakovostno slikanico. Opredeljeni so tudi pojmi branje ter bralna in družinska pismenost. Po analizi slikanic z metodo analize multimodalnosti je za vsako izmed njih pripravljen tudi sklop vprašanj za poglabljanje vsebine ter za pogovor o posamezni tematiki. Na voljo je tudi nabor dejavnosti, ki lahko služijo za še bolj poglobljeno doživljanje slikanice in njene vsebine v vrtcu ali doma.

Secondary title: Selected themes of picture books for the second age group in kindergarten
Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis presents the six thematic clusters children encounter during their preschool period. These clusters majorly affect how children perceive and understand the world around them. These are death, diversity, solidarity, seasons - autumn, mobility, and etiquette. The chosen topics are analysed theoretically. Each thematic picture book selected was analysed by applying the multi-modality analysis method. The theoretical part covers the definition of picture books, their defining features, and how to choose a quality picture book. Furthermore, the themes, what reading is, and the interconnection of reading with reading and family literacy are also defined. After we analysed picture books with the multi-modality analysis method, we prepared a set of questions to promote a deeper insight into the content and communication on each theme the book features and their content. A range of activities that deepen how picture books and their content is experienced at home or in kindergarten is also included.
