Abstract

V diplomski nalogi smo analizirali, kaj je akademska nepoštenost, opredelili razloge in posledice ter predstavili njene oblike. Predstavili smo nekaj dosedanjih raziskav s tega področja ter primerjali pojav akademske nepoštenosti v različnih državah. Raziskavo smo opravili med študenti Fakultete za organizacijske vede Univerze v Mariboru. Preverjali smo, koliko študenti res vedo o akademski nepoštenosti in ali so bili oz. so akademsko nepošteni. Z analizo podatkov, zbranih s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika, smo odgovorili na naša raziskovalna vprašanja. Ugotovili smo, da študentje poznajo definicijo akademske nepoštenosti; da se največ študentov poslužuje prepisovanja kot oblike akademske nepoštenosti; da sta največja razloga za akademsko nepoštenost prevelik obseg snovi ter pomanjkanje časa za učenje; da med študenti različnih letnikov prihaja do razlik v akademski nepoštenosti; da velika večina študentov še ni bila ujeta pri akademski nepoštenosti; ter da prihaja do razlik med moškimi in ženskami pri akademski nepoštenosti. Na koncu smo tudi napravili analizo vseh ugotovitev ter spisali sklepne ugotovitve na podlagi teoretičnega in raziskovalnega dela.

Secondary abstract: In the diploma thesis, we analyzed what academic dishonesty is, defined the reasons and consequences, and presented the forms of academic dishonesty. We have presented some previous research in the field of academic dishonesty and compared the phenomenon of academic dishonesty in different countries. We conducted a survey among students of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences of the University of Maribor. We checked how much students really know about academic dishonesty and whether they have been or are being academically dishonest. We answered our research questions by analyzing the data collected with the help of a survey questionnaire. We found that students know the definition of academic dishonesty; that most students resort to copying as a form of academic dishonesty; that the biggest reasons for academic dishonesty are too much material and lack of time to learn; that there are differences in academic dishonesty between students of different years; that the vast majority of students have not yet been caught in academic dishonesty; and that there are differences between men and women in academic dishonesty. At the end, we also made an analysis of all findings and wrote conclusions based on theoretical and research work.
