Abstract

Najprej smo v nalogi opredelili področje slepih in slabovidnih. Ob spoznavanju sveta slepih in slabovidnih smo največji del besedila posvetili spoznavanju različnih načinov prilagajanja umetnosti tej ranljivi skupini znotraj muzejev in galerij. V zadnjem delu teoretičnega dela smo predstavili vsa dela simpozija Forma viva Maribor.

Secondary title: Modern technology in adapting visual art in museums and galleries for people with blindness and visual impairment
Secondary abstract: The master's thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. Firstly, we defined the area of blindness and visual impairment. In learning about the world of the blind and visually impaired, we devoted the largest part of the text to learning about the different ways of adapting art, to this vulnerable group, within museums and galleries. We were mainly interested in adapting plastics and exhibit pieces. This was followed by the definition of 3D technologies, which we used ourselves in the production of a practical product. We got to know the terminology, different technologies and materials of 3D technologies. We looked into adaptations in museums and galleries made with the help of 3D printing. Following that, we touched upon the area where art and 3D technology meet. Finally, at the end of the theoretical part, we presented all the works of the Forma viva Maribor symposium. In the practical part, we described in detail the procedures for using individual 3D technologies. In the beginning it was a 3D scanner. After the computer processing procedure, we focused on using a 3D printer. We recorded the procedure of post-processing printed replicas, which we also tested together with the blind and visually impaired. Tests show that this type of adaptation of this specific artwork is effective and practical.
