Abstract

Literaturo smo ob upoštevanju vključitvenih in izključitvenih kriterijev pridobili v mednarodnih podatkovnih bazah: PubMed, CINAHL in Cochrane Library. Uporabljena je bila deskriptivna metoda. Potek iskanja literature smo prikazali s pomočjo diagrama PRISMA, analizo vsebine smo prikazali v tabeli, skupne karakteristike raziskav pa smo predstavili v sintezni tabeli.

Secondary title: Interventions for preventing violence against nurses
Secondary abstract: Introduction: Violence against nurses is a widespread and often overlooked problem. It is important that nurses know how to recognize a potentially violent patient and how to deal with them. The aim of this thesis is to research and present interventions for preventing violence against nurses. Methods: The final thesis is discussed on the basis of a review of the scientific literature. Taking into account the inclusion and exclusion criteria, we obtained literature from three international databases: PubMed, CINAHL and the Cochrane Library. A descriptive method was used. The course of the literature search was shown with the help of the PRISMA diagram. The content analysis was presented in a table, and the common characteristics of the research were presented in a synthesis table. Results: We identified 629 studies, eight of which were included in the final analysis. We found that the best way to prevent violence is through additional training of employees and the inclusion of multi-component interventions. Discussion and conclusion: Since violence against nurses is a widespread problem, it is important that nurses know techniques and ways to prevent it. It is also important that they are aware of the importance of the zero-tolerance policy. The topic needs to be further researched and supported by evidence.
