Abstract

Secondary title: Adventure park Betnava as a proposal of cross-curricular activity in the fourth and fifth grade of elementary school
Secondary abstract: The thesis deals with the use of the Betnava adventure park as a learning environment for teaching science and sport for 4th and 5th grade primary school students. It focuses on climbing on the arranged routes in the park and cross-curriculum learning about different types of plants and animals that live in the forest. The thesis includes a planned learning path that enables interdisciplinary connections between Science and Sports. Students have tried various activities and tasks in the park and evaluated their effectiveness in learning science content related to sports. The results show that the Betnava adventure park can be a useful learning environment for teaching science, as it allows practical learning in a natural environment that is attractive and motivating for students. Among other things, students have learned to recognize forest animals and plants and have become familiar with their characteristics and roles in the ecosystem. The Master's thesis emphasizes the importance of using the natural environment as a learning environment and the importance of experiential learning to promote learning and interest in science among young people.
