Abstract

Diplomsko delo z naslovom "Vpliv Ekovrtca na zdravo prehranjevanje" sestavljata teoretični in empirični del. V teoretičnem delu smo podrobno predstavili program Ekovrtca ter njegove cilje in načela ter projekt "Zdravo življenje" in njegove vsebine v Šentjurskem vrtcu. Zbrali smo podatke o zdravem načinu prehranjevanja.

Secondary title: THE INFLUENCE OF ECO-KINDERGARTEN ON HEALTHY NOURISHMENT
Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis "The Influence of Eco-Kindergarten on Healthy Nourishment" consists of the theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part outlines a detailed introduction of the Eco-Kindergarten programme, its objectives and principles, the "Healthy Lifestyle" project and its implementation in the Šentjur Kindergarten. Further, the theoretical part consists of compiled data on healthy nourishment. The empirical part outlines the survey results compiled by means of a survey questionnaire. The survey encompassed 33 parents of children attending the Šentjur Kindergarten, namely the Blagovna and Ponikva subsidiaries. The purpose of this survey was to establish the parents' knowledge of the Eco-Kindergarten programme and their objectives, and their understanding of the importance of the influence of nourishment on children's health. Further the purpose of the survey was to establish whether the Eco-Kindergarten project along with its objectives and contents promotes the development of healthy eating habits. Finally, the purpose of this survey was to establish whether children are conveying their healthy lifestyle experience acquired at the kindergarten to their home environment. The results of the survey show that the majority of parents whose children are attending the Eco-Kindergarten are familiarised with the Eco-Kindergarten programme; however, they are less familiarized with its objectives and contents. Parents further understand the influence of nourishment on their children's health and perceive the Eco-Kindergarten along with their objectives and contents as beneficial to formation of positive eating habits. Further, we established that children convey their healthy lifestyle experience that they acquired in the kindergarten to their home environment.
