Abstract

Diplomska naloga govori o vzgoji za trajnostni razvoj v zgodnjem otroštvu. S trajnostnim razvojem se danes srečujemo na vseh področjih našega življenja. Tudi vzgojitelji v vrtcu morajo biti v koraku s časom in tako pri vzgoji dajati poudarek na načela in vrednote trajnostnega razvoja. Vrtec je tako pomembna institucija, ki skrbi, da bodo otroci zrasli v odgovorne ljudi, saj so ravno otroci tisti, ki jih bomo najlažje naučili trajnostnega načina življenja. Oni so tisti, ki bodo v prihodnosti krojili usodo našega planeta. V teoretičnem delu smo s pomočjo literature analizirali trajnostni razvoj, razlike med vzgojo za trajnostni razvoj in okoljsko vzgojo, predstavili cilje, načela, značilnosti in področja vzgoje za trajnostni razvoj, analizirali uresničevanje vzgoje za trajnostni razvoj in opredelitev vzgoje za trajnostni razvoj v kurikulumu za vrtce ter pogledali delovanje eko vrtcev v Sloveniji. Pomemben del naloge je njen empirični del, v katerem so predstavljeni rezultati ankete, ki je bila izvedena med strokovnimi delavci v vrtcu na širšem ptujskem in mariborskem območju. Namen izvedene ankete je bil ugotoviti kaj vzgojiteljem pomeni vzgoja za trajnostni razvoj, kako uresničujejo njene cilje ter ugotoviti vzgojiteljevo samooceno usposobljenosti in potreb po usposabljanju za vzgojo za trajnostni razvoj.

Secondary abstract: This thesis covers sustainable development of education in the early stages of childhood. One comes across such a development in all areas of one's life. Even pedagogues in playschools have to keep up and likewise emphasis on principles and values of education for sustainable development. Playschools are important institutions, which make sure that children will grow up to be responsible adults, as children are the best to learn of a sustainable lifestyle. Our future, on our planet is in the fate of our children. In the theoretical part, with the help of literatue, we analized sustainable development, the difference between education for sustainable development and enviromental education, presented aims, principles, characteristics and sphere of education for sustainable development, analized the implementation of education and the definition of education for sustainable development in the curriculum for playschools and looked at the operation of eco-playschools in slovenia. The important part of the thesis is its empirical part, where results of the questionnaire are presented and was carried out by professional workers from playschools from the Ptuj and Maribor areas. The aim of the questionnaire was to find out what the meaning of sustainable development means to them in education, how they reach their aims, determine their competency and the need for training for sustainable develpment in education.
