diplomsko delo
Abstract
Diplomsko delo želi prispevati k širšemu razumevanju pomena arhitekture in notranjega oblikovanja v izobraževanju in ponuditi učinkovite načine za njihovo vpeljavo v učni proces. S tem želi spodbuditi pedagoške delavce k razmisleku o tem, kako lahko bolje pripravijo otroke na izzive in potrebe sodobnega življenja ter jim pomaga razvijati kritično razmišljanje, ustvarjalnost in prostorsko predstavljivost.

Introducing architecture and interior design in the first grade of primary school |
Secondary abstract: |
In the modern world, understanding architecture and interior design is becoming increasingly important, as people become aware of how space can influence our well-being, learning, and functioning. Children encounter elements of architecture and interior design at a very early age, so it is crucial to properly and effectively incorporate this area into their education.
This thesis, titled "Introduction of architecture and interior design in the first grade of primary school," focuses on researching and analysing ways to help children develop a sense of space, design, and architecture. The work presents theoretical foundations and practical examples, aiming to provide guidelines and recommendations for educators who wish to introduce such activities into their practice.
In the thesis, we demonstrated that it is possible to adapt the field of architecture and interior design to the developmental stage of first-grade students and prepare activities suitable for them. Through these activities, kids were introduced to new concepts and symbols in this field, developed spatial expression skills, learned about the role of technical drawings and materials, and gained a sense of spatial orientation. It turned out that the activities were interesting to the kids, and they gained a lot from them. They also played with the products later on, further developing their imaginative play. The usefulness of Lego bricks was also evident.
This thesis aims to contribute to a broader understanding of the importance of architecture and interior design in education and to offer effective ways of integrating them into the learning process. In doing so, it seeks to encourage educators to consider how they can better prepare children for the challenges and demands of modern life and help them develop critical thinking, creativity, and spatial imagination. |
