diplomsko delo
Abstract
Zdrav način življenja obsega dobre prehranske navade, telesno dejavnost, izogibanje alkoholu in kajenju.

Healthy eating style includes good eating habits, physical activity and avoiding alcohol and cigarettes. We attain these habits connected to healthy lifestyle already at an early age, therefore, it is very important that they are incorporated into education, starting in kindergarten or school, and teachers being role models would contribute to it. The diploma paper discusses researched student eating habits. We were interested in what they eat and how healthy is the state subsidized food. Moreover, we were wondering whether future teachers of primary school have better eating habits than students from other faculties. We found out that there are differences in eating habits among male and female students, since female students eat more fruits and vegetables and more often eat lunch at home. They eat one meal outside home, thinking the most important thing being that the food is healthy, with quality ingredients. They drink alcohol less often than their male counterparts. Female students think there are not enough information regarding healthy eating habits during study years or that there were none, not even knowing whether the water consumed with a student lunch in a restaurant is really wholesome. For them, the most important source of information about healthy eating habits is internet. Male students, on the other hand, more often eat dinner, eat more bread, potatoes, cereal products and meat; eat snacks and fast food more often. They usually eat one or two meals outside home. They add salt to food more often and drink sugared tea. At the same time future male and female teachers of primary school more often eat vegetables and coffee, less often drink alcohol and are less physically active, smoking even more often than students of other faculties. They have two to three meals a day and have dinner more often. For them, internet is the most important source of information regarding healthy eating. Our findings also show that there were too little information about healthy eating habits for these students during their study years. |
