Secondary abstract: | The article analyses the methods of translating into Lithuanian the descriptions of the mental state and physical feelings of two characters that are central to the novel Filio ni doma (Filio is Not at Home, 1990) by Berta Bojetu. The comparison of the two texts and the analysis of the translation approaches applied by the translator (transformations on the lexical, syntactical and stylistical level) is realised on the lexical-semantic level, and it reveals different approaches to the comprehension and representation of the forbidden theme of violence and sexuality. |
