Abstract

Članek obravnava recepcijo slovenske književnosti na Japonskem, ki je še precej skromna. Doslej smo dobili tri prevode leposlovja v knjižni obliki, vsi pa so bili pripravljeni s sodelovanjem dveh nepoklicnih prevajalcev: Slovenca z znanjem japonščine in Japonke brez znanja slovenščine. Četudi zanimanje za srednje- in vzhodnoevropsko literaturo na Japonskem ni majhno, na Japonskem zagotovo primanjkuje primernih japonskih književnih prevajalcev slovenskega jezika in izobraževalnih programov zanje.

Secondary abstract: This article examines the reception of Slovene literature in Japan, which is still quite modest. There have only been three translations of fiction in book form, and all of them were produced through the cooperation of two amateur translators: a Slovene with knowledge of Japanese and a Japanese without knowledge of Slovene. Despite the fact that interest in Central and Eastern European literature is not so limited in Japan, there is certainly a lack of suitable translators for the Slovene language, as well as educational programmes.
