Secondary abstract: | The article deals with the reception of Slovene dramatic text in theatre from the audience’s point of view. Considering three different stagings of The Bondsmen by Ivan Cankar in this millennium, it is shown that a staging is an independent work of art that can relate to a topical issue. It puts the dramatic text in new contexts and by doing so enriches the experience of the recipient – the dramatic text really comes fully to life only on stage. |
