Sekundarni povzetek: | Since its first staging in 1919 the play Hlapci (Servants) by Ivan Cankar has been staged in many different ways. In the early days stagings strictly followed the dramatic text, but later the performing arts became more independent and allowed for more artistic freedom. Reviews of stagings in Slovene professional theatres form the basis for the analysis in this article. The stagings are divided into five categories and the features of eachare explained. |
