Secondary abstract: | The paper discusses the representation of language, linguistics and linguists in Slovene newspapers published in Italy. The aim of the paper is to show the different epistemological and ideological frames used by journalists and other authors. Media representation of academic topics has always been an important epistemological and ideological meeting point. Academic content reaches a wider audience primarily through various media discourses and, in this sense, newspapers and other media can deeply influence the common perception and representation of different concepts, including of language and linguistics. |
