Abstract

Trg dela nenehno pretresajo naravni, družbeni in politični dogodki oziroma spremembe.

Secondary title: ǂThe ǂSlovenian labour market after the epidemic
Secondary abstract: The labour market is constantly shaken by natural, social and political events or changes. In the early 2020s, the world economy faced a health crisis that had not been around for decades in Europe as well as Slovenia, leaving consequences for economic activities. The operations of the companies were limited and it had to be adapted to the business of the then health and safety measures. The Covid-19 epidemic also affected the labour market. As a view, both companies and employees and people entering the labour market have faced a number of challenges and difficulties in the market. At the same time, there has been a new so-called so-called social challenge caused by digitisation, that is to say, the implementation of new forms of work. All this has been reflected by higher unemployment and lower gross social product due to the unwillingness of both the country and businesses to address the health crisis or the epidemic. In a relatively short time, the economy recovered, the unemployed found employment in other industries, Slovenia also reached the lowest unemployment rate in its history. It should be added, however, that the labour market is now facing an ageing population, due to high employability and low birth rates, brain drain or exodus, a lack of labour and the search for suitable and potential employees, managers note that there is a lack of competences and digital competences. Employees' desire for maximum profit leads to a steep rise in productivity and efficiency, but to achieve this we will have to constantly adapt and improve through lifelong learning, only in this way we will grow and develop personal as a society.
