diplomsko delo
Abstract
V okviru diplomske naloge smo izvedli raziskavo, katere rezultati so razkrili več ključnih ugotovitev.

Crisis management during the covid-19 pandemic in company X |
Secondary abstract: |
Crisis management is a crucial process of handling and managing situations that present sudden, unforeseen, and often highly challenging challenges for organizations, businesses, institutions, or individuals. Its purpose is to ensure a swift response to crisis situations, manage their effects, and prevent further spread of damage. In the scope of this thesis, we investigated how to identify crisis situations within a company and analyzed external influences that can lead to crisis scenarios. We focused on the case of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis and its impact on company "x". Specifically, we were interested in how the selected company responded to social distancing measures, which led us to the following findings regarding whether remote insurance agents sign more insurance policies and whether they managed to expand their business. On the other hand, we explored how working during the pandemic affected the company's costs and sales compared to the pre-pandemic period.
As part of the thesis, we conducted a study whose results unveiled several key findings. We found that remote-working insurance agents tend to close more insurance policies with potential clients. This points to a positive impact of remote work on the efficiency of sales activities. Simultaneously, we observed that the company achieves lower operational costs when insurance agents work remotely. This indicates potential savings in terms of infrastructure and other operational expenses. We also examined the hypothesis regarding whether remote work has led insurance agents to increase the number of sales discussions, consequently resulting in more finalized insurance contracts and an expanded sales network. Our research partially confirmed the hypothesis, as there was a deviation in terms of international expansion. We also discovered that the company achieved a 17.63% increase in sales in the year 2021 compared to the years prior to the outbreak of the pandemic. |
