Abstract

Diplomsko delo z naslovom Osveščenost staršev glede stresa in stisk njihovih otrok v 1. razredu osnovne šole sestavljata teoretični in empirični del. V teoretičnem delu smo se osredotočili na stres in stiske otrok, nato smo se poglobili v vzroke za nastanek, načine spoprijemanja in vlogo odraslih. V empiričnem delu smo predstavili rezultate raziskave, ki smo jo opravili s starši prvošolcev javnih in zasebnih osnovnih šol. Zanimalo nas je, koliko znanja imajo starši na področju stresa in stisk otrok, kako se s tem spoprijemajo in ali znajo ustrezno prepoznati simptome stresa in stisk pri lastnem otroku. Spletni anketni vprašalnik je bil aktiven od meseca maja 2022 do avgusta 2022, v tem času nam je uspelo zbrati 86 ustrezno izpolnjenih anketnih vprašalnikov. Podatki so bili zbrani s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika, pridobljene odgovore pa smo obdelali s programom SPSS. Pridobljeni rezultati in ugotovitve nakazujejo na dobro seznanjenost staršev na področju stisk in stresa otrok ter spremljanje le-tega, hkrati pa nakazujejo, da starši na podlagi opazovanja telesnega in čustvenega počutja lastnega otroka ne opazijo ali ne znajo ustrezno oceniti, ali je njihov otrok v stiski ali pod stresom.

Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis, entitled Parents' awareness of their children's stress and distress in the 1st grade of primary school, consists of theoretical and empirical work. In the theoretical part, we were focused on stress and distress of children, causes of its occurrence, ways of coping in the role of adults. The empirical part presents the results of the research we conducted with parents of first - graders in public and private elementary school. We were interested in how much knowledge parents have in the field of children's stress and distress, how they deal with it, what strategies they use and whether they know how to properly assess when their child is under stress or distress. The online questionnaire was active from May 2022 to August 2022. In that time, we managed to collect 86 completed surveys. The data were collected using a questionnaire, the answers obtained were processed using the SPSS program. The results and findings show that parents are aware of the child's stress and distress, they also only monitor the field, but at the same time, the results show, that parents based on observing their own child's physical and emotional well-being, do not notice or do not know how to adequately assess whether their child is under stress or distress.
