Abstract

Cilj diplomskega dela je bil zasnovati in izdelati valj dvotaktnega motorja iz aluminijeve litine s pomočjo tridimenzionalnega tiskanja. V modelirniku smo zasnovali valj in ga prilagodili za namen litja. Na podlagi zasnove v modelirniku smo natisnili modele in jedrnike z uporabo tridimenzionalnega tiskalnika ter z njimi izdelali peščeno formo, v katero smo vlili aluminijevo litino. Ulitek smo dodatno mehansko obdelali in ga uporabili na motornem sklopu. Ugotovili smo dejansko praktičnost in hitrost izdelave livarskih peščenih form z uporabo tridimenzionalnega tiskanja. Tekom procesa izdelave smo odpravili storjene napake, optimizirali zasnovo v modelirniku in s hitrim prototipiranjem uvedli tehnične izboljšave v peščeno formo za izdelavo čim bolj dovršenega izdelka.

Secondary title: Application of 3D printing for manufacturing sand casting forms
Secondary abstract: The objective of final thesis was to design and manufacture a two-stroke cylinder from aluminium metal with the use of three-dimensional printing. With the use of modelling software, a model cylinder was designed and modified for casting. Based on the design in the modelling software, patterns were printed via three-dimensional printing and used for the construction of a sand-casting mould, which was then used for casting aluminium metal. Additionally, the casted cylinder was machined and used on the engine assembly. The practicality and speed of sand-casting mould production using three-dimensional printing was established. During the manufacturing process, previous errors were mitigated, the design in modelling software was optimized and with rapid prototyping technical improvements were introduced into the sand-casting mould to produce a perfected final product.
