Abstract

Krožno gospodarstvo zmanjšuje količino odpadkov in podaljša življenjsko dobo izdelkov.

Secondary title: Circular economy on the example of the steel industry
Secondary abstract: The circular economy in the steel industry is based on the reuse, renovation and recycling of existing materials. It successfully replaces the linear economic model based on take, make, spend, and throw away. The circular economy reduces the amount of waste and extends the life of products. With the analysis of the circular economy, in company X, we want to present the model of the circular economy on the example of the steel industry. There was a reduction in the amount of waste due to the reprocessing of only this and, as a result, a reduction in costs in steel production. Processing and recycling procedures represent a cost that is completely covered by the earnings that come from the processing of by-products in the processing of steel. However, individual by-products still bring new challenges to company X, how to use them beneficially, of course, with new technology procedures, which will require investment of effort and also money.
