diplomsko delo
Abstract
Matematika je znanost in tudi jezik vzorcev. Razmišljanje o vzorcih pomaga otroku osmisliti matematiko. Otrokom so ritem, glasba in pesmice še posebej blizu, zato jim lažje predstavimo matematične vzorce na način ustvarjanja različnih zvočnih vzorcev.

Developing algebraic thinking in preschool period with sound patterns |
Secondary abstract: |
Mathematics is a science and also language of patterns. Contemplating patterns helps children make sense of mathematics. They learn that mathematics isn't a collection of disconnected facts and procedures, but rather the recognition of patterns and working with them. Working with patterns helps young children predict what will happen, discuss relationships, and see connections between mathematical concepts and their world. In the thesis "Developing algebraic thinking in preschool period with sound patterns" we primarily focused on sound patterns. Rhythm, music, and songs are particularly familiar to children, which makes it easier to introduce mathematical patterns to them through the creation of various sound patterns. The theoretical part of the thesis explains why early development of algebraic thinking is important and how it can be nurtured through tailored activities in preschool. In the practical segment, we present methods for introducing different sound patterns to preschool children, encouraging them to continue and create their own. We found that children quickly grasp the significance of patterns and are capable of reproducing and extending them. However, when it comes to independently creating sound patterns, children may still require some assistance and encouragement. |
