Abstract

Secondary abstract: In principle, the unclear relationship between theatre appearances and public speaking (rhetoric) leave spoken interpretation to improvisation and stylised (private) speech. In this paper we define the difference between speech and "speaking performance" which the media speakers as "public models" bring to public speaking. A major role in modern public speaking is also played by relationship of the spoken text to its written basis.
