Abstract

Zaradi vedno bolj in bolj zahtevnih želja strank so podjetja prisiljena v odkrivanje novih načinov površinske obdelave. V podjetju mizarstvo ERCEK – B d.o.o. so ravno zaradi tega bili primorani najti nov pristop za doseganje želene površine. Površino hrastovega lesa so začeli lužiti, lakirati in oljiti.

Secondary title: Surface finishing of oak wood by combining staining, lacquering and oiling
Secondary abstract: Due to the increasingly demanding wishes of customers, companies are forced to develop new methods of surface treatment. In the wood processing company ERCEK – B d.o.o., this is precisely why they were pushed to find a new approach to achieve the desired surface. They started with staining, lacquering and oiling the surface. With different combinations of finishes and materials, they wanted to find a combination that would be suitable both visually and in terms of surface properties. We used wooden panels veneered with oak veneer to create different systems. After the initial visual selection of some combinations, we carried out measurements of the visual and mechanical-physical properties. We found that the visual properties could be improved by combining different finishing techniques. Furthermore, we found that the combination of lacquering and oiling can could improve the resistance of the surface, while maintaining the appearance of only an oiled surface.
