Abstract

Secondary title: Parental views on distance schooling of their elementary children during pandemic Covid-19: Savinjska statistical region
Secondary abstract: On 16. March 2020, for the first time in the history of Slovenian Republic distance school learning has become reality for primary school students of the public school system. This novelty happened only 4 days after the government of Slovenia declared a notion of entering the pandemic Covid-19. Leaving parents in high level of stress. Therfore the main purpose of this diploma assignment is to research how were parents affected by this sudden transition from classroom school learning to distance school learning of their children. The empirical part of this assignment consists on gathering data from parents that have atleast one primary school student and reside in Savinjska statistical region. The survey has been done on a sample of 13 parents with the method semi – open questionnaire. The analysis has shown that for these parents, distance schooling was primarily a period in which the strength of their own character was tested. Consequely it turned out that their social support system played a major role.
