Abstract

The impact of investments in education on the efficiency of the company's operations: case study |
| Secondary abstract: |
In today's competitive and rapidly changing business environment, companies must regularly invest in growth and development of their employees. Participation in educational programs motivates employees to become more committed to learning and encourages them to actively search for various skills and information they need to perform their work tasks more efficiently. Although there is a lot of literature explaining the impact of investments in education on the company's business performance, there are not many studies available that would show a direct impact. In my master's thesis, I first established and explained the theoretical starting points related to education, employee development, the performance and efficiency of companies, and then in the empirical work, with the help of statistical analyzes and conducted interview, I continued to research the impact of investments in education on the efficiency of company X's operations. In one of the hypotheses I was first interested in which forms of education the company uses the most, and then I investigated the impact of investments in education in a company of service sector on three different dependent variables - work productivity, work performance and the results of monthly employee testing. The performed analyzes id not confirm all the hypotheses, and we cannot confirm the direct impact of investments in education on labor productivity and work performance. Likewise, we cannot deny the impact of investments in education on the work of employees and claim that investments in education do not play an important role. Our analysis showed important findings, namely that investments in employee education have a significant impact on the acquisition of new knowledge and the consolidation of knowledge, while work productivity and work performance also depend on other factors. |
