Abstract
Cilj magistrskega dela je bil raziskati pigmente, bolj podrobno ugotoviti, ali je mogoče, omejeno na naš čas in prostor, pridobiti primerne pigmente za slikarsko ustvarjanje, kot so to počeli stari mojstri, ter jih primerno pripraviti, očistiti in uporabiti. V teoretičnem delu magistrske naloge smo raziskali barve, njihove lastnosti in naš zaznavni sistem, ki je odgovoren za zaznavanje le-teh. Nato smo ločili barvila od pigmentov in se osredotočili na pigmente, opisali in primerjali njihove lastnosti, kako so jih pridobivali, za kaj so jih uporabljali ter ostala zgodovinska dejstva. Seveda smo omenili tudi slikarske nosilce ter veziva. V praktičnem delu smo se najprej osredotočili na iskanje materialov za izdelavo pigmentov v okolici, nato na obdelavo ter čiščenje, da smo pridobili pigment. Pigmente smo nato uporabili v kombinaciji z različnimi vezivi in to analizirali.

Use of pigments in the painting practice in the past and present |

The goal of the master thesis was to investigate the pigments, more specifically, to understand whether it is possible, within the framework of our time and space, to acquire pigments for painting as it was done by the old masters, to properly prepare them, clean them and use them. In the theoretical part of the thesis, we investigated the colours, their characteristics and our perception system responsible for their perception. Afterwards, we separated the dyes from the pigments and focused on the pigments, described them and compared their characteristics, how they acquired them, what they used them for and other historical facts. We of course also mentioned the painting bases as well as the paint binders. In the practical part, we at first focused on locating the materials for making the pigments in the surroundings, then on preparation and cleaning to get the pigment. The pigments were then used in combination with different binders, which we then analysed. |
