Abstract

Primerjali smo stroške konvencionalnega in kondenzacijskega sušenja lesa.

Secondary title: Optimal combination of kiln and dehumidification drying procedure
Secondary abstract: The costs of kiln and dehumidification drying of wood were compared. The kiln drying costs were calculated by the CAE computer model, while the dehumidification drying costs assessed by an analysis of the procedure made. Our calculation was done on the basis of the 50 mm thick beech wood drying (Fagus Sylvatica L.). The wood moisture was foreseen by assessing and comparing the costs, according to the optimal drying transfer of both procedures. Advantages of the initial dehumidification drying of fresh wood and then drying to the final moisture with the kiln drying procedure were established. The optimal drying transfer of both procedures was achieved at 35.1 % of wood moisture. We were not able to confirm larger savings by drying combinations because of the huge difference in prices between the electrical and thermal energy.
