Abstract
Magistrsko delo obsega načrtovanje, optimizacijo in uporabo multimedijskih in informacijsko-komunikacijskih tehnologij pri izvajanju pedagoškega procesa s poudarkom na optimizaciji strojne in programske opreme. Hiter razvoj na področju multimedije prinaša številne možnosti nadgradnje izobraževanj, zaradi pandemije COVID-19 pa se je vpeljava teh tehnologij skokovito povečala. Zaradi zahteve po naglih spremembah in povečanega obsega uporabe so bili sistemi in njihova uporaba v tem času pogosto neoptimalni in so predstavljali dodatno obremenitev za pedagoge in podporno osebje.
V delu je obravnavan celovit pregled področja multimedijskih sistemov, namenjenih podpori in izvajanju pedagoškega procesa, s poudarkom na hibridnem izvajanju. Delo nadalje zajema načrtovanje in inženiring multimedijskih sistemov z uporabo najsodobnejših pristopov, kot je prenos avdiovizualnih signalov preko internetnih omrežij (AV-preko-IP).
Izvedena je bila tudi študija potreb in izzivov na področju sodobne rabe tehnologij s strani pedagogov in podpornega osebja. Kot pogost izziv je bila prepoznana potreba po nadgradnji in optimizaciji sistemov in platform, katere rezultat je inovativna arhitektura, njena optimizacija, testiranje in analiza avtomatizirane rešitve, katere cilj je manj obremenjujoča raba tehnologij za pedagoge in tehnično osebje pri izvajanju hibridnih predavanj z uporabo večjega števila avdiovizualnih virov.

The master's thesis encompasses the design, optimization, and utilization of multimedia and information-communication technologies in the implementation of the pedagogical process, with an emphasis on optimizing hardware and software components. The rapid development in the field of multimedia brings numerous possibilities for upgraded education, and due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the adoption of these technologies has dramatically increased. Consequently, the requirement for rapid changes and increased usage were the systems and their application often suboptimal, posing an additional burden on educators and support staff.
The work includes a comprehensive overview of multimedia systems dedicated to supporting and implementing the pedagogical process, focusing on hybrid implementation. Furthermore, the thesis encompasses the design and engineering of multimedia systems using state-of-the-art approaches, such as the transmission of audiovisual signals over internet networks (AV-over-IP).
A study was conducted to analyze the needs and challenges regarding the contemporary use of technologies by educators and support staff. A common challenge, which was identified, was the need for upgraded and optimized systems and platforms, leading to an innovative architecture design, its optimization, testing, and analysis of an automated solution. The aim is to reduce the technological burden on educators and technical staff during hybrid lectures using a greater number of audiovisual sources. |
