študija primera
Abstract
Natančno smo opisali razvoj govora, prve glasove in prve besede.

Boy with severe speech and language disorder: example study |
Secondary abstract: |
Children differ from each other, each being unique. Speech and language disorders (SLP) can significantly impede a child's progress. Timely identification of the cause can help identify the disorder, and thus enable normal development and success for the child. The theoretical part of the master's thesis introduces children with speech and language disorders and presents different types of children with SLP. The process of guiding children with speech and language disorders is briefly explained, along with the challenges and adaptations these children face. The development of speech, acquiring first sounds and first words is described in detail. Various types of speech and language disorders, their causes, and ways to address these disorders are also defined and explained. In this section, hearing, the functioning of the ear, the significance of hearing, phonological awareness, literacy, and the implications of hearing impairment, deafness, and hearing loss are thoroughly described. In the empirical part, a case study of a boy with severe speech and language disorder caused by impaired hearing is presented. The boy's initial and final speech and language disorder status at the end of the first grade of elementary school is detailed. The goals set for the research are outlined, and the research methods include semi-structured interviews, documentation about the boy, and participant observation. The findings indicate that, due to the swift identification of the hearing problem and the assistance of parents and speech therapists, the boy's speech significantly improved by the end of the first grade, approaching that of his peers. |
