Abstract

S porastom kripto valut in uporabe tehnologije veriženja blokov je naraslo tudi zanimanje za decentralizacijo. Eno prvih področij zanimanja so podatkovne baze in API-ji. Za reševanje decentraliziranih API-jev je na trgu kar nekaj ponudnikov – v nalogi smo pregledali dva – The Graph in API3. Obe rešitvi sta ustrezno zasnovani in z osnovnim znanjem za imple- mentacijo nista težavni. Obe implementaciji sta bili uspešni, vendar se je za bolj uporabno izkazal The Graph, ki ima tudi veliko potenciala v prihodnosti decentralizacije.

Secondary abstract: With the rise of cryptocurrencies and the use of blockchain tech- nology, interest in decentralization has also increased. One of the first areas of interest are databases and APIs. There are several providers on the mar- ket for decentralized APIs; in this study, we reviewed two: The Graph and API3. Both solutions are well-designed and, with basic knowledge, are not challenging to implement. Both implementations were successful, but The Graph proves to be more useful and has a lot of potential in the future of the decentralization field.
