Abstract

Diplomska naloga se osredotoča na razvoj kontejnerskega terminala Luke Koper v primerjavi z najsodobnejšimi terminali v svetovnih pristaniščih. Na splošno je predstavljena kontejnerizacija in razvoj procesa kontejnerizacije, naštete in opisane so vrste kontejnerjev na kontejnerskih terminalih. V nadaljevanju so predstavljena sodobna manipulacijska sredstva s posebnim poudarkom na manipulacijskih sredstvih na avtomatiziranih terminalih. Kot primer dobre prakse na področju avtomatizacije je izpostavljen kontejnerski terminal Yangshan v šanghajskem pristanišču, ki je najbolj prometno pristanišče na svetu. Sledi predstavitev Luke Koper in njenega kontejnerskega terminala, s podrobno predstavitvijo obstoječih manipulacijskih sredstev na terminalu. Nato sem kontejnerski terminal v Luki Koper primerjal z najnaprednejšimi kontejnerskimi terminali po svetu, upoštevajoč stopnjo avtomatizacije, manipulacijske naprave in skladiščne površine, ter na podlagi ugotovitev podal predloge za nadaljnji razvoj.

Secondary abstract: The thesis focuses on the development of the container terminal of the Port of Koper and compares it with the most technically advanced ports around the world. It provides an overview of containerisation and its development, including a list of container types used at container terminals. Additionally, it presents modern terminal equipment, with a specific emphasis on automated terminals. As an example of good practice in the automation, I introduced the Yangshan container terminal in the Port of Shanghai – the busiest port in the world, followed by a presentation of the Port of Koper and its container terminal, along with a detailed presentation of its existing equipment. I then compared the container terminal at the Port of Koper with the most advanced terminals worldwide, considering their levels of automation, handling equipment, and storage facilities. Based on these findings, recommendations for further development are provided in the final part.
