Abstract

Obe analizi sta pokazali deljena stališča glede cepljenja. V kontekstu Slovenije so razlike v sentimentu sovpadale s ključnimi akterji in dogodki v tem času.

Secondary title: Attitudes towards vaccination against COVID-19 during the coronavirus epidemic in Slovenia
Secondary abstract: The coronavirus epidemic in Slovenia has led to different attitudes towards measures to prevent the spread of the disease, health measures, and ultimately vaccination. The relatively rapid development of vaccines against COVID-19 has added fuel to the fire, as citizens used various sources to obtain information, which contributed to the rapid shifts of attitudes towards vaccination. As a result, all this was reflected in people's daily lives, both in personal relationships and in the workplace. In the present master thesis, we analyse the sentiment towards vaccination against COVID-19 during the coronavirus epidemic in Slovenia. The topic is based on the implication of divided public opinion, which can be detected from opinion polls and media publications from the time of the epidemic. We were also interested in the timeline of events during the epidemic, from the political developments to the introduction of various measures against the spread of the disease. First we focused on opinions expressed on Twitter (currently »X«), but later, due to the restrictions in obtaining data from »X«, we added data from Reddit. Both analyses showed divided attitudes towards vaccination. In the Slovenian context, the differences in sentiment coincided with key actors and events at the time.
