Abstract

Otroke smo opazovali in si zapisovali njihove odgovore.

Secondary abstract: Communication with the use of simple puppets foster it properly. Puppets stand out as an outstanding method to boost a child's ability to communicate, as children often form connections with and place their full trust in the toy. Engaging with a puppet aids in enhancing speech, creativity, and social interactions, as it presents an opportunity to expose children to various real-life scenarios, thereby improving their communicative skills. Utilising puppets in kindergarten, both during morning meetings and daily activities, proves beneficial. Moreover, when a child creates their own puppet, it holds additional value, instilling a sense of pride and accomplishment, emphasising the effort they have invested. Within the thesis titled «Communication With the Use of Simple Puppets« our aim was to explore the impact of puppets on children's communication skills. We organised workshops where children crafted their own makeshift puppets and for each, we introduced specific scenarios, prompting discussions between the children and their puppets. Observations and notes were made regarding their interactions. The children crafted their puppets without assistance. Our findings indicate that puppets significantly benefit children by reinforcing positive self-images, as these toys often convey positive messages about the children themselves. Similarly, they were especially beneficial for children who are naturally introverted or shy, encouraging them to express themselves more freely.
