bachelor's thesis
Abstract
This diploma thesis explores the realm of real-time path tracing, a cutting-edge rendering technique that strives to achieve photorealistic visual quality in interactive graphics applications. Traditional real-time rendering approaches, such as rasterization, have limitations in simulating complex lighting scenarios and global illumination effects. Real-time path tracing, offers a promising solution by tracing rays of light through a scene to accurately simulate the intricate interplay of light and materials.
The primary objectives of this thesis include the implementation and optimization of a real-time path tracing system capable of producing visually stunning images at interactive frame rates. The thesis delves into algorithmic advancements, GPU acceleration techniques, and efficient data structures tailored to the unique demands of path tracing.

Celovita analiza sledenja žarkom in sledenju poti v skoraj realnem času |
Secondary abstract: |
