Abstract
Socialni cilji mladostnike usmerjajo k doseganju želenega socialnega položaja v vrstniški skupini - pogostokrat preko izvajanja medvrstniškega nasilja. Namen magistrskega dela je bil ugotoviti, kako se učenci glede na izraženost socialnih ciljev razlikujejo v izvajanju medvrstniškega nasilja, negotovosti zaradi socialnega položaja in zaznani opori vrstnikov, ter preveriti, ali spol igra vlogo moderatorja v odnosu med socialnimi cilji in izvajanjem medvrstniškega nasilja. V naši raziskavi je sodelovalo 6244 učencev 8. in 9. razreda iz 118 slovenskih šol, ki so rešili baterijo vprašalnikov, sestavljeno iz Vprašalnika medvrstniških odnosov: nasilno vedenje (APRI-BT), Revidiranega vprašalnika medvrstniških odnosov: spletno nasilno vedenje, Lestvice socialnih ciljev, Lestvice negotovosti zaradi socialnega položaja in Lestvice zaznane opore. Rezultati so pokazali, da učenci z višje izraženimi cilji priljubljenosti izvajajo več nasilja v primerjavi z ostalimi in poročajo o več negotovosti zaradi socialnega položaja, učenci z višje izraženimi cilji naklonjenosti pa izvajajo manj nasilja ter poročajo o več zaznane opore vrstnikov. Dekleta v višji meri izražajo socialne cilje naklonjenosti, fantje pa socialne cilje priljubljenosti. Spol se je izkazal kot pomemben napovednik v odnosu med socialnimi cilji priljubljenosti in izvajanjem nasilja tako pri fantih kot pri dekletih, a je učinek pri fantih večji. Na podlagi navedenih ugotovitev predlagamo določene preventivne ukrepe, ki bi pripomogli k zmanjševanju pojavnosti medvrstniškega nasilja, in spodbujamo k nadaljnjemu raziskovanju socialnih ciljev.

Social goals as a factor of differences in conducting peer violence in the early adolescence |

Social goals guide adolescents towards achieving desired social status within their peer group – often through the perpetration of bullying. This master's thesis aimed to determine how students, considering the endorsement of social goals, differ in perpetrating bullying, social status insecurity and perceived peer support, and to examine whether gender moderates the relationship between social goals and perpetration of bullying. 6244 students of 8th and 9th grades from 118 Slovenian schools participated in our study. They completed a battery of questionnaires consisting of the Adolescent Peer Relations Instrument: Bully/Target (APRI-BT); Revised Adolescents Peer Relations Instrument, Social status goals, Social status insecurity, and Classroom life instrument. The results have shown that students with higher endorsement of popularity goals engage in more bullying compared to others, and report more social status insecurity. In contrast, students with higher endorsement of social preference goals perpetrate less bullying and report more perceived peer support. Girls endorse higher social preference goals whereas boys endorse higher social popularity goals. Gender has proved to be an important predictor in the relationship between social popularity goals and bullying perpetration in both boys and girls, but the effect is greater in boys. Based on these findings, we propose certain preventive measures to reduce the incidence of bullying and encourage further research into social goals. |
