Secondary title: [Reliability analysis of Airbus A-330 computer flight management system]
Secondary abstract: Diploma thesis deals with digitized, computerized flight control system »Fly-by-wire« and security aspects of the computer system of an aircraft Airbus A330. As for space and military aircraft structures is also in commercial airplanes, much of the financial contribution devoted to reliability. Conventional aircraft control systems have, and some are still, to rely on mechanical and hydraulic connections between the controls on aircraft operated by the pilot and control surfaces. But newer aircrafts are in most using the "Fly-by-wire" system, where the commands in the flight deck are generating signals which are then interpreted by computers in the output commands, and are then driven by hydraulic systems which operate the control surfaces. In the introductory chapter, I introduced the very concept of avionics and the main features of »Fly-by-wire« system. Then in the second chapter I presented the system extensively, including its history, security and benefits such as reducing the burden pilots and aircraft weight reduction and the difference between Boeing 777 and Airbus standard »Fly-by-wire« system. I also examined the situation in the field of avionics and flight control systems. In the third chapter I examined closely reliability aspects of an aircraft including the Airbus A330 primary flight control system, air traffic controls, computer architecture, redundancy, fault tolerance, navigation and communication. The main analysis of the reliability considerations is made in the fourth and fifth chapter, where I first examined and described the theory of reliability in computer systems and then with the calculations showed a likelihood of systemic activity of individual units of air craft.
