Abstract

Diplomsko delo Mejniki gibalnega razvoja otrok, starih od 2 do 3 leta, obsega teoretični in empirični del. V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili pomen gibanja za otroke, gibalni razvoj, mejnike gibalnega razvoja, koncept gozdnega vrtca in denverski razvojni presejalni test. V empiričnem delu smo uporabili kavzalno ne eksperimentalno metodo raziskovanja in ne slučajnostni vzorec iz populacije otrok, starih od 2 do 3 leta, iz Vrtca Otona Župančiča Maribor, ki ni vključen v Mrežo gozdnih vrtcev Slovenije, in Vrtca Ravne na Koroškem, ki je vključen v Mrežo gozdnih vrtcev Slovenije. Podatke smo zbirali s kvantitativno metodo, pri čemer smo uporabili denverski razvojni presejalni test za ugotavljanje gibalnih mejnikov otrok. Rezultati so pokazali, da so otroci iz vrtcev, ki so vključeni v Mrežo gozdnih vrtcev Slovenije, dosegali boljše rezultate in hitreje dosegali gibalne mejnike kot otroci iz vrtcev, ki niso vključeni v Mrežo gozdnih vrtcev. Dejavnosti v naravnem okolju so pozitivno vplivale na razvoj grobe in fine motorike otrok. Pričujoče diplomsko delo prispeva k razumevanju vpliva naravnega okolja na gibalni razvoj otrok in podaja priporočila za vključevanje večjega števila aktivnosti na prostem v predšolske programe, kar pomembno vpliva na celostni razvoj in dobro počutje otrok. Prav tako izpostavlja pomen zgodnjega vključevanja otrok v naravne dejavnosti, kar spodbuja njihov celostni razvoj in pozitivno vpliva na njihovo zdravje.

Secondary abstract: The thesis, titled Milestones of Motor Development of Children Aged 2 to 3 Years, comprises theoretical and empirical parts. In the theoretical part, we presented the importance of movement for children, movement development, milestones of movement development, the concept of forest kindergarten and the Denver Developmental Screening Test. In the empirical part, we used a causal non-experimental research method and a non-random sample from the population of 2 to 3-year-old children from the Oton Župančič Kindergarten Maribor, which is not included in the network of forest kindergartens, and the Ravne na Koroškem Kindergarten, which is part of the network of forest kindergartens in Slovenia. Data was collected using a quantitative technique, specifically the Denver Developmental Screening Test, to assess children's motor milestones. The results showed that children from kindergartens, included in the network of forest kindergartens in Slovenia, achieved better results and reached motor milestones earlier than children from kindergartens not included in the network of forest kindergartens. Activities in a natural environment positively influenced the development of children's gross and fine motor skills. The thesis contributes to understanding the impact of the natural environment on children motor development and provides recommendations for incorporating more outdoor activities into preschool programs, significantly affecting children's overall development and well-being. The thesis highlights the importance of early involvement of children in natural activities, which promotes their overall development and positively influences their health.
