Secondary abstract: | The paper addresses the theme of war and how it is viewed in the short narrative prose of Kocbek and Lalić. Comparison of two narrative methods and two world views highlights the difference between the realistic and the modern existentially changed status of the hero in war and revolution. Analysis of common themes reveals the difference between the committed revolutionary image of war and its disintegrated counterpart as well as the author's different attitudes to the themes of good and evil in visions of suffering. |
