Abstract

Gibalni razvoj je ključen za celostni razvoj otrok in razvijanje njihovih gibalnih spretnosti. Le-te niso pomembne le za fizično zdravje, temveč tudi za druge vidike otrokovega razvoja. Vendar živimo v svetu, kjer digitalni tehnologiji skorajda ne moremo ubežati. Digitalna tehnologija prinaša tako prednosti kot slabosti, ki pa vplivajo na otrokov razvoj. Namen našega diplomskega dela z naslovom Digitalna tehnologija in gibalni razvoj otrok v predšolskem obdobju je raziskati, ali obstaja povezava med uporabo digitalne tehnologije in gibalnim razvojem otrok. V teoretičnem delu so opisani gibalni razvoj in digitalna tehnologija ter njeni morebitni vplivi na gibalni razvoj. V empiričnem delu smo z merskim postopkom TGMD-3 ocenili gibalne spretnosti 30 otrok, starih 4-6 let. Postopek je razdeljen na dva sklopa nalog, in sicer lokomotorne spretnosti in spretnosti z žogo. Otroke smo ocenili dvakrat, seštevek ocen je rezultat vsake od dveh skupin gibalnih nalog. Na podlagi pridobljenih rezultatov smo s pomočjo merskega postopka TGMD-3 za neodvisne vzorce ugotovili, da večja izpostavljenost digitalni tehnologiji pri predšolskih otrocih negativno vpliva na ocenjene gibalne spretnosti.

Secondary title: Digital technology and a preschooler's motor development
Secondary abstract: Motor development is crucial for the overall development of children and their motor skills. These skills are not important only for physical health but also for other aspects of a child's development. However, we live in a world where it is almost impossible to avoid digital technology. It brings advantages and disadvantages, which both have an impact on a child's development. The purpose of our thesis entitled "Digital Technology and a Preschooler's Motor Development" was to explore whether there is a connection between the use of digital technology and children's motor development. The theoretical part describes motor development, digital technology and its potential impacts on motor development. In the empirical part, we assessed the motor skills of 30 children aged from 4 to 6 years using the TGMD-3 measurement procedure. The procedure was divided into two sets of tasks, namely locomotor skills and ball skills. The children were assessed twice. The sum of the points provided the final results for each of the two groups of motor tasks. Based on the gained results, we used the TGMD-3 measurement procedure for independent samples. This was how we found out that greater exposure of preschool children to digital technology has a negative impact on the tested motor skills.
