Abstract

Diplomsko delo obravnava zaokroženo celoto področja uporabe umetne inteligence v izobraževalnih sistemih. Predstavljene so splošne značilnosti umetne inteligence in na kratko tudi zgodovina razvoja le-te. Nadaljevanje diplomskega dela predstavi povezavo med umetno inteligenco in personalizacijo učenja, ki omogoča prilagoditev vsebin in metod učencem glede na njihove individualne potrebe. Na kratko se dotakne tudi informacijsko-komunikacijske tehnologije, brez katere umetna inteligenca najverjetneje ne bi obstajala, informacijske družbe, ki je največja uporabnica umetne inteligence, in pa seveda e-izobraževanj, ki so trenutno eno izmed najbolj uporabljenih izobraževanj na svetu. Naloga raziskuje prednosti, kot so povečana učinkovitost učenja, avtomatizacija administrativnih nalog in uporaba orodij, kot so inteligentni tutorji in analitika učenja. Predstavi tudi slabosti, ki so npr. izguba človeške interakcije, odvisnost od umetne inteligence v izobraževanju itd. Hkrati pa opozarja na izzive, kot so etični pomisleki, varovanje zasebnosti in pomanjkanje enakopravnega dostopa do tehnologij. V empiričnem delu raziskava prikazuje poznavanje umetne inteligence med študenti in njihove navade uporabe. Večina anketirancev zaznava prednosti umetne inteligence, kot sta hitrejša obdelava podatkov in personalizacija učenja, a izraža pomisleke glede etičnih vprašanj in nadomestitve učiteljev z umetno inteligenco. Metodološko so uporabljene deskriptivne metode in anketa med sto študenti. Naloga zaključuje, da lahko umetna inteligenca bistveno prispeva k napredku izobraževanja, a le ob skrbni implementaciji in etični uporabi.

Secondary abstract: The thesis examines a comprehensive overview of the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in educational systems. It presents the general characteristics of artificial intelligence, as well as a brief history of its development. The subsequent chapters of the thesis explore the connection between AI and personalized learning, which enables the adaptation of content and methods to meet the individual needs of students. It also briefly touches on information and communication technology (ICT), without which artificial intelligence would likely not exist, the information society as the largest user of artificial intelligence, and e-learning, which is currently one of the most widely used forms of education globally. The thesis investigates the advantages of AI, such as increased learning efficiency, the automation of administrative tasks, and the use of tools like intelligent tutors and learning analytics. It also highlights the disadvantages, such as the loss of human interaction, dependency on AI in education, and so on. At the same time, it addresses challenges such as ethical concerns, privacy protection, and the lack of equal access to technology. In the empirical section, the research examines students' knowledge of AI and their usage habits. Most respondents recognize the advantages of AI, such as faster data processing and personalized learning, but also express concerns regarding ethical issues and the replacement of teachers with artificial intelligence. Methodologically, the research employs descriptive methods and a survey conducted among 100 students. The thesis concludes that AI can significantly contribute to the advancement of education, but only with careful implementation and ethical use.
