diplomsko delo

Abstract

Secondary title: The role of dance activities in raising awareness and effectiveness of the preventive programme »Safe with the sun« in preschool age
Secondary abstract: The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, we presented dance in early childhood, its role in the curriculum, and described the impact of dance on children’s development and creativity in dance activities. Furthermore, we defined various types of dance activities, such as expressive dance, movement games, creative-playful games, and didactic games. The theoretical part concludes with a focus on the national program "Safe in the Sun". The practical part includes a study aimed at exploring the possibilities of integrating dance activities into the "Safe in the Sun" preventive program. For this purpose, eight dance activities were carried out in the first and second age groups, incorporating engaging content linked to the preventive program. We used the descriptive method of pedagogical research and the method of practical work. The sample was non-random and drawn from a specific population, including 14 children from the first age group (2–3 years) and 21 children from the second age group (4–5 years). The findings show that the planned activities successfully introduced children to the importance of preventive measures against harmful sun exposure. All set goals were achieved, and the children's responses from both age groups were positive following the implementation of the dance activities.
