    Abstract
 
V diplomskem delu sem preučeval [2 + 2] fotocikloadicije med 3,4 dikloro 1 metilmaleimidom in alkeni – s ciljem optimizacije reakcijskih pogojev in sinteze novih derivatov maleimidov. Preizkusil sem različne fotokatalizatorje (komplekse prehodnih kovin in organske spojine), topila, reakcijske čase in dodatke, pri čemer so bile reakcije izvedene pod svetlobo različne valovne dolžine v inertni atmosferi. Ugotovil sem, da reakcija uspešno poteče pod vidno svetlobo le z uporabo fotokatalizatorjev. Izmed preizkušenih fotokatalizatorjev so se za najučinkovitejše izkazali iridijevi kompleksi in 2-izopropiltioksanton. Zadnji je cenovno dostopen in ne vsebuje plemenitih kovin, a omogoča popolno pretvorbo pod vijoličasto svetlobo. V nekaterih primerih je dodatek vode ali kisline izboljšal potek reakcije z drugimi katalizatorji (npr. 1,2,3,5-tetrakis(karbazol-9-il)-4,6-dicianobenzen). Pri optimalnih pogojih sem uspešno sintetiziral več različnih produktov.

            In my thesis, I studied [2 2] photocycloaddition between 3,4 dichloro 1 methylmaleimide and alkenes, with the aim of optimizing reaction conditions and synthesizing new maleimide derivatives. I tested various photocatalysts (complexes of transition metals and organic compounds), solvents, reaction times, and additives, with reactions performed under light of varying wavelengths in an inert atmosphere. I have found that the reaction can be successfully carried out under visible light only with the use of a photocatalysts. Among the tested photocatalysts, iridium complexes and 2 isopropyltioxanthone proved to be the most effective. It is the most affordable and does not contain precious metals, but it allows for complete conversion under violet light. In some cases, the addition of water or acid improved the reaction with other catalysts (e.g., 1,2,3,5-tetrakis(carbazol-9-yl)-4,6-dicyanobenzene). Under optimal conditions, I successfully synthesized several different products. |
