Abstract

Secondary title: Analysis of allowable cut in Slovenia in 2006
Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis deals with a planned felling in Slovenia in 2006 based on cutting down trees in phases (N=69997). The purpose of the paper was to analyse the allowable cut E (m3/ha) and the strength of the allowable cut ELZ (%) in phases for the Slovenian forests in order to establish their values and movement based on various indicators. The analysis was based on: ownership, regions, inclination, height above sea level, stoniness and rockiness, skid distance and the categories of the woods. Having completed the analysis we compared allowable cut with the one in some European countries. We studied the collection of data of Slovenia Forest Service by means of Microsoft Office, basic statistical formulas and signs and presented them in the form of tables and figures. From analysing the data we noticed certain patterns and differences in the allowable cut regarding indicators. It was ascertained that ELZ equals 1,47 % of the wood store. When we excepted the sections where there was no allowable cut (N=10640), the degree was 1,56 %. We noticed that more planning is being done in state woods than private ones and that allowable cut differs a lot between regions.
