The use of Bus story test for the assessment of childrens's pragmatic ability |
Secondary abstract: |
The aim of my study was to analyse the pragmatic ability of preschool children with the use of Bus story test.
The study included forty eight preschool children, divided in three age groups, equally represented with boys and girls. I was researching existence of statistically significant differences in the narration according to age, gender and maternal education.
Results showed that in narration older children give greater number of information, form longer sentences, their stories are more coherent and more often use cohesive device pronouns and hypernyms to maintain reference, but similar as younger children they still narrate with thematic laps. The study did not show any statistically significant differences in narration according to gender and education of their mother. |

Abstract (ePrints): |
