Secondary title: Analysis of sensorimotor activities for 8th annual child with autism spectrum disorder, a study case
Secondary abstract: In the theoretical part of the diploma thesis autism, causes of autism and sensorimotor development of persons with autism spectrum disorder are presented. In addition motoric development is described and its connection to the sensory system. This is followed by a description of the organization and functioning of the central nervous system for a better understanding of sensorimotor integration. The thesis also presents sensory integration and its development, sensory integration problems and issues in which they reflect. In particular, I focused on sensory modulation problems, namely hyposensitivity and hypersensitivity, based on which I developed a program for implementation of sensorimotor activities in the empirical part. I also described the sensory systems and sensory integration evaluation. In the second part of the thesis selected sensorimotor activities, adaptation and implementation of those are presented. Through analysis of 20 meetings and interview with parents I believe that sensorimotor activities are suitable for children with autism spectrum disorder, since children responded positively to the given sensorimotor activities.

Abstract (ePrints): V teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela predstavljam avtizem, vzroke za nastanek avtizma in senzomotorični razvoj oseb z motnjo avtističnega spektra. V nadaljevanju opisujem motorični razvoj in povezavo le tega s senzoričnim sistemom. V drugem delu predstavljam izbrane senzomotorične aktivnosti, prilagoditve in izvedbo le teh.
