Secondary abstract:	In Slovenia we have, in comparison to other states, on field of land development comparatively new legislation. But despite our new laws in practice it turned out, that there are a lot of substances, which are not properly dealt with. For the sake of quality and expedience of land development, it’s in public interest to perform the activities of plan implementation. Land readjustment, especially voluntary land readjustment is one of such devices, which we don’t exploit enough, when it comes to practical implementation, though it’s important arrangement for realization of plan implementation on areas with unarranged and crumbled parcel state and different property structure of pieces of land. One of reasons, why voluntary land readjustment didn’t really come to life in practice, lies in defective legislation, which causes problems with the implementation in practice. In this paper we will look into Slovene legislation, some cases of implementation of voluntary land readjustment abroad, some practical cases from experiences and then on the basics of this analysis try to give some suggestions for changes and completion of present legislation, which could add to better performance of voluntary land readjustment and indirectly to it’s broader importance.
