Let us make our own fairytale and theatre performance: the child participation project |
Secondary abstract: |
The theme of this dissertation is key starting points and social changes that triggered paradigmatic changes in understanding the child and childhood. This also led to changing the educational practices, among which child participation is increasingly gaining ground. The first part comprises a theoretical discussion of modern notions of childhood and education and also of some principles or concepts on which the participation depends or they almost completely overlap. As a special form of taking child competence into consideration the dissertation presents project work which has mostly gained ground in the kindergartens in Reggio Emilia. However, it is more and more present in the Slovenian kindergartens as well. There is a more detailed description of open-ended problem solving defined by Maxim (1979). The empirical part presents such a project entitled Let Us Make Our Own Fairytale and Theatre Performance. Individual project activities were assessed with the help of evaluation notes, and several possible improvements were suggested. |

Abstract (ePrints): |
