The use of multicriterial evaluation methods in spatial planning - case study of the municipality Ig |
Secondary abstract: |
Our diploma tries to represent the Geographical Information Systems (GIS) as an important element in the process of spatial decision making. The emphasis of our study is placed upon practical work with which we wanted to conduct the most reliable analysis as possible (using quality and up-to-date data) in order to achieve our goal – settlement. We systematically relied on the method of Multicriterial evaluation (MCE), which is also supported by the integrated GIS Processing software Idrisi Andes. The methods used - weighted linear combination and simple additive weighting method – are represented in picture and text. Special emphasis is on the preparing of data layers. The preparation itself is represented on the cartographic models with content supplements. We prepared four different variants of the Multicriterial evaluation method in order to show the systematical and content difficulties of each separate variant. Deductive approach was chosen to evaluate gained results. The approach was made possible by using the previously developed spatial plan of the Ig municipality. |
